Screen Printing Process

The machine uses a controlled screen-printing cycle to transfer ink through the mesh onto the product surface.

  1. Products enter through the automatic feeding system.
  2. A positioning mechanism or vision system aligns each workpiece.
  3. The servo transfer system moves the product to the printing station.
  4. The screen and squeegee execute the programmed printing stroke.
  5. Printed products proceed to UV curing or the selected downstream drying process.
  6. Finished products are automatically discharged for subsequent packaging or production operations.

Machine Configuration

The main machine modules include:

  • Automatic feeding and loading system for continuous product supply
  • Automatic dust-removal unit to reduce contamination before printing
  • Servo positioning and transfer system for controlled product movement
  • Three-station rotary printing unit for repeatable cylindrical printing
  • Screen-printing assembly with adjustable printing parameters
  • UV curing system with temperature/control functions according to configuration
  • PLC and touchscreen control system for cycle management and operating adjustments
  • Quick-change product fixtures to accommodate different bottle or container geometries

Substrate Compatibility

The machine is primarily configured for cylindrical packaging and industrial products made from glass, plastic, ceramics, metal, etc.

Material compatibility depends on surface treatment, ink chemistry and curing requirements. For difficult plastic substrates, surface treatment such as flame treatment may be required to achieve the specified ink adhesion.

Printing Performance

Performance is affected by:

  • Product geometry and dimensional tolerance
  • Artwork size and screen specifications
  • Ink viscosity and curing requirements
  • Registration requirements
  • Feeding and unloading efficiency
  • Number of print stations

Applications

The machine is particularly suitable where direct screen printing, repeatable positioning and automated high-volume handling are required:

  • Cosmetic bottles and tubes
  • Pharmaceutical and reagent containers
  • Food and beverage containers
  • Oil and wine bottle caps
  • Industrial containers

Customization & Production Integration

The machine can be configured around the buyer's product dimensions, printing process and production layout. Common customization areas include:

  • Product-specific fixtures and tooling
  • Automatic or vision-based positioning
  • UV, self-drying or high-temperature ink processes
  • Additional printing stations for multi-color production
  • Feeding and discharge conveyor configuration
  • Integration with ovens, curing systems or downstream packaging equipment
  • Electrical and control-system requirements for the destination market

FAQ

1. Can I test my products before placing an order?
Yes. Sample testing can verify fixture compatibility, print registration, ink adhesion and curing performance before production.

2. How long does it take to manufacture the machine?
For a standard configuration, a 30–45 day lead time after order confirmation is a reasonable commercial reference. Customized tooling, additional print stations or special automation may require additional engineering and production time.

3. What type of ink should be used?
The ink should be selected according to the substrate, surface treatment, required adhesion, appearance and curing method. UV screen-printing ink is suitable for UV curing configurations, while solvent-based or other specialty inks may require a different drying system.

4. What routine maintenance is required?
Routine maintenance includes cleaning ink-contact components, inspecting screens and squeegees, checking product fixtures, removing accumulated dust and verifying pneumatic and electrical connections.

5. Are spare parts available after purchase?
Yes. Common wear parts and machine-specific components can be supplied as spare parts.

6. What warranty and technical support are normally provided?
A 12-month warranty from commissioning is a suitable standard commercial condition for the machine, covering manufacturing defects under normal operation. Remote technical support by email or online communication can be provided for installation assistance, troubleshooting and operating questions.
