After each production run, residual material should be promptly cleaned from the packaging machine to prevent material accumulation. Material residue not only affects the machine's appearance but can also breed bacteria in the machine's crevices, corroding parts, especially areas in direct contact with the material, such as the feeding hopper and metering devices, which require thorough cleaning.
For transmission components, such as chains, gears, and belts, lubricating oil should be added regularly to reduce friction between parts and ensure smooth operation. At the same time, the wear condition of these components should be checked regularly, such as whether the chain pitch has lengthened or the gear teeth are worn. If severe wear is found, they should be replaced promptly to avoid equipment failure due to component damage.
Consumable parts, such as sealing knives and cutters, are prone to wear due to frequent use during operation. Their wear should be checked regularly. When poor sealing or uneven cutting is observed, it may be a sign that the consumable parts need to be replaced. Timely replacement of easily damaged parts ensures packaging quality and production efficiency.
Maintenance of the electrical system is equally important. Keep the electrical control cabinet dry to prevent water ingress and short circuits. Regularly check wiring connections for looseness and terminals for oxidation; tighten and address any issues promptly. Simultaneously, check the operational status of all electrical components, such as sensors and controllers, to ensure the equipment's automated control functions are stable and reliable.
The metering device, as the core component of the packaging machine, requires regular calibration. Calibrate gravimetric devices using standard weights based on material characteristics and packaging accuracy requirements, and calibrate volumetric metering devices by adjusting the filling volume of the containers to ensure accurate packaging weights.
